What is Talon?

Talon is a self-hosted AI agent that connects to 22+ messaging channels, providing seamless access across mobile, desktop, and web apps. Run your own AI infrastructure with full privacy and control, without relying on third-party services.

Quick Start

Get Talon running in just four steps:

1. Download and Install

Choose your preferred method:

  • Desktop App: Download for macOS, Windows, or Linux
  • From Source: Clone the repository and run locally

2. Configure an AI Provider

Section titled “2. Configure an AI Provider”

Talon supports multiple AI providers. Choose one and add your API credentials:

  • OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-3.5)
  • Anthropic (Claude)
  • Local LLMs
  • And more…

3. Connect a Messaging Channel

Section titled “3. Connect a Messaging Channel”

Link Talon to your favorite platforms:

  • Telegram
  • Discord
  • Slack
  • WhatsApp
  • Signal
  • And 17+ more channels

Once connected, Talon will respond to messages across all linked channels simultaneously.

4. Start Chatting

  • Use the mobile app (iOS/Android) to chat on the go
  • Chat through any connected channel (Telegram, Discord, Slack, etc.)
  • Access from the web app on any browser

  • macOS: 10.14+ (Intel or Apple Silicon)
  • Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
  • Linux: Ubuntu 18.04+ or equivalent (64-bit)

Mobile

  • Android: 8.0 (API 26) or later
