What is Talon?
Section titled “What is Talon?”Talon is a self-hosted AI agent that connects to 22+ messaging channels, providing seamless access across mobile, desktop, and web apps. Run your own AI infrastructure with full privacy and control, without relying on third-party services.
Quick Start
Section titled “Quick Start”Get Talon running in just four steps:
1. Download and Install
Section titled “1. Download and Install”Choose your preferred method:
- Desktop App: Download for macOS, Windows, or Linux
- From Source: Clone the repository and run locally
2. Configure an AI Provider
Section titled “2. Configure an AI Provider”Talon supports multiple AI providers. Choose one and add your API credentials:
- OpenAI (GPT-4, GPT-3.5)
- Anthropic (Claude)
- Local LLMs
- And more…
3. Connect a Messaging Channel
Section titled “3. Connect a Messaging Channel”Link Talon to your favorite platforms:
- Telegram
- Discord
- Slack
- Signal
- And 17+ more channels
Once connected, Talon will respond to messages across all linked channels simultaneously.
4. Start Chatting
Section titled “4. Start Chatting”- Use the mobile app (iOS/Android) to chat on the go
- Chat through any connected channel (Telegram, Discord, Slack, etc.)
- Access from the web app on any browser

- Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- Linux: Ubuntu 18.04+ or equivalent (64-bit)
